I've just began really researching necromancy in the last year. I had tried finding websites about it on the web, but that proved futile as my husband is a website developer and getting onto the internet is rather challenging. So I picked up Forbidden Rites:A Necromancer's Manual of the Fifteenth Century. The first part is rather dry and scholarly, but when you get into the rituals themselves they are really interesting. If you decide to get a book, I'd suggest this one. I also picked up conjuring spirits, but I haven't started that one yet. I have a habit of buying a bunch of books and reading one and then going back and reading one I already owned and reading it for the umpteenth time again and then moving onto another new one.

Get ahold of "Communing with the Spirits" for some fairly decent work on practical Necromancy. It is out of print but available.
