That's what I do. Charms are there to manipulate people's perceptions. Subtlety makes things easier. Turning invisible in any practical form would be REALLY difficult.
That really depends on what kind of invisibility you trying to achieve, (IMG:

Invisibility- The ability to avoid being seen or noticed by observers.
There's a form of invisibility where the subject can be seen by the naked eye, but the mind doesn't register it as being important, and thus unnoticable. This is known as the Tarnhelm Effect.
Imagine going into a room where you know you don't belong there, but everyone else in the room thinks you do. That's an example of the Tarnhelm Effect.
The above example has happened to me on a couple of occassions: One time when I was a kid, I was wondering around the prosthetic limb shop of a children's hospital. I knew I wasn't suppose to be wandering around in there, but no one really noticed me there. I didn't sneak, I didn't scurry around, I simply walked around like I had a reason to be there. So everyone treated me like I belonged there (Even had a couple of head nods like they knew, and they didn't)!
Finally, the Effect wore off and one guy snapped out of it and yelled "Hey, you don't belong here," but by that time I had already seen everything in the room. (IMG:

That was the Tarnhelm Effect in action, at a time I didn't even know what it was. Personally, I find this form of invisibility fairly easy to achieve.
Here's a good site where one Chaote explains the Tarnhelm Effect in more depths:
