A few months ago I attempted my first Goetic evocation. I essentially had all the of the equipment deemed mandatory (circle, triangle, sigils, etc.) and performed the evocation in a loft above my garage. However in retrospect I made some foolish choices (like attempting to summon Paimon on my first attempt and using DXM to potentiate the experience (IMG:style_emoticons/default/oops.gif) ) and had no immediate results with the ritual. I wasn't especially surprised by this due to my inexperience and forgot about the ritual. However, about a week later when I went to take out the garbage one night, I noticed a black triangle hovering by a tree that was close to the loft. Thinking this a figment of my imagination I slowly approached it and it then shot straight up into the air at high speed. I seem to recall reading somewhere (unsure) that Paimon's consorts Labal and Abalim sometimes appear in that form. I have yet to perform another evocation and have decided to further strenghten my skrying abilities and to work my way up the evocational hierarchy, working primarily with elementals before going back to the Goetia. A clear attempt to overstep my abilities that I have learned from, but any additional insights and opinions about the experience that I can utilize would be greatly appreciated. Your chosen course of action is wise friend (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I suppose I have just one more thing to add, that I did not earlier. I'm not quite sure why it didn't come to me then, but it is this: You'll know when you are ready to summon, or to do anything actually (magick is QUITE broad in life, infinite) when you stop asking questions, and begin doing. It is the doing that will teach you the most, and you will find this when you have exhausted everything else as a matter of course, over time, and with little fanfare, (at least of the type that accompanies the Super Bowl, LOL!). Now, I don't mean stop asking questions all together...bah, you know what I mean (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Good Luck friend!

Very well put. Its like milling around a cold swimming pool. No-one wants to jump in. Many have touched the water with their hands and everyone is waiting for someone else to go in first. All have agreed that it feels cold. A few people have taken the plunge, they say its not so bad, you remain unconvinced because their voices sound funny and they look a little red, as if they are cold.

People say you would have to be mad to go in there, even so, most of the few in there look happy. They say they are experiencing a surge of energy, that swimming keeps them happy and they prefer it cold.

You long to jump in.

First, you must KNOW that you can swim, then all you need is a towel.
