The Information Model?, Is it the paradigm for psionic magic? Options

I was just curious,

I've been trying to figure out what the Information Model is, exactly, for a while now and the best I can guess is that it's creating magic by simply using your thoughts (rather than spirits and energy projection) to influence the universe.

Is that the gist of it? Is it just psionic magic, or is there more to it?

Just wondering.

I've seen it before a while back and this description of the Information Model hadn't made much sense until this time around. Interesting thing is that when it mentioned the Golf Club Chakra, it reminded me of "Bob" and the SubGenius Religion, and in that instant it suddenly made sense (Which puts credence on the SubGenius' anti-belief that merely visualizing the face of "Bob" brings clarity to the minds of SubGenii).
