 Alchemy, anyone into alchemy?

I am interested in Alchemy. plain and simple. I have been interested in it for a while but never really did anything about. I never read any books about it or anything. I wondering if there is anyone out there that is skilled or even remotely educated in it. I really want to know some things like, what is it really, what is involved, what kind of books are there out there that are good.

I practice alchemy. If you have a more specific question in mind I might be able to help. Also point you toward more modern sources which should make things a little clearer so you might be able to gleam the older texts. Also keep in mind there is spiritual alchemy and practical alchemy which on the outside look seperate but once you start practicing you will find they are one and the same.
