Hi, Angalor ~
I don't think that there is any question but that digital
art is a great way to go for any work that you intend
to *reproduce*. Photographing my paintings, and then
scanning and calibrating the output for a printer is
often disappointing for me, and I end up doing a lot of
'postwork' in PhotoShop anyway.
And if you have any interest in preparing your work
for 2-D or 3-D animation, sketching and painting
with digital art software can be a big help there, too.
But I don't believe for one minute that traditional art
is obsolete. I work in tempera and oils, and there are
several communities that I can recommend:
The Society of Tempera Painters

http://www.artrenewal.org/Society for the Art of the Imagination
http://www.artofimagination.org/WetCanvas
http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/Cennini Forum
http://forums.studioproducts.com/ArtPapa Forums
http://www.artpapa.com/forums/I enjoy your work very much! Thank you so much
for sharing it with me. I am looking forward to
your new site going up.
