Hello all:
I got interested in Sumerian religion in college when I read several tale translations of the Enuma Elish, Giganesh Epic, Erra Epic, etc. Then I came across the Simon Necronomicon, and realized that it had basically the same info, with the addition of the sigils. I have read it of an on from many years (~20), sometimes not believing, sometimes believing and afraid to take a step.

I have had one deeply religious girlfirend, and my sister has joined what I call a cristian cult (her motto is 'only us know how to be a REAL christian, the rest are going to hell' o something like that) and because of them (and my own studies) I have grown very skeptical of the whole christian/judaic religion (most of christianity is based on Paul, who was not a disciple and met Christ only once). As a lover of science I cannot abide by a god that will throw humanity (Adam and Eve) out of paradise because they ate from the tree of knowledge. (the original sin has nothing to do with sex, but with attaining knowledge).

So I have started to renew my interest in the occult and with communication with entities. I will attempt to open the gates listed in the Necronomicon and communicate with spirits. In the mean time I have a lot of questions and I would appreciate any help or suggestions you might give me.
