Hello all:
I understand that a tool to stray from the Elder gods and call the Ancient Ones is a sword that has killed 11 men. (Not interested in that one)

However there is another place in the book where reference is made to blood sacrifice, and it seems to relate to a normal practicioner. In his epilogue the mad arab says (pg 206):

'Know that the four Beasts of the Spaces claim the blood of the initiate, eachin their own time and season'

1) What does that mean? are those the same beasts for the cardinal points described in pg 190?

2) I take it to mean that blood sacrifices should be made to them, on a particular day. Is this correct?

3) Or does it mean that as part of the initiation or walking the path we must fight them and be 'bloodied' by them?

P.S in page 207 it says no sacrifices to be made if one finds out that a gate has been open (as the fiends will feed on it) this implies that the normal sacrifices are by spilled blood. He mentions 'the flocks of Palestine' as possible sacrifices... What where they, sheep, cattle?

4) Does any one currently praying to the gods uses animal sacrifices? (chickens, squirreles, etc) or since not necessary it has been left behind as not 'politucally correct'

Any thoughts in this subject are appreciated..

Traveller.

QUOTE
Know that the Seven Spheres must be entered in their times and in their seasons, one at a time, and never the one before the other.

The doctrine of the Ascent of the soul through seven successive stages of being or consciousness originates with the Babylonian myth of Tammuz and Ishtar and is memorialized in the seven steps of the Ziggarat. Later, this doctrine appears in the POIMANDRES of Hermes, the royal arches of Enoch, the seven heavens of St. John's REVELATION and Mohammed's NIGHT JOURNEY TO HEAVEN with the angel Gabriel.

Yes, they are the four spirits of the spaces on pg 190 in the urilla text of the necronomicon.

They are also listed in ST. John's REVELATION

" * IV.6: And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal; in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, there were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
* IV.7: And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle."

Sounds similar to the urilla text huh?

They are also listed in the book of Daniel Dan 7:17 "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth."

Many bible scholars say Daniel 7 is about the rise and fall of four kingdoms, the first being the one of BABYLONIANS.

The four beast show up in myth when destruction and change is going to happen.

Know that TIAMAT seeks ever to rise to the stars, and when the Upper is united to the Lower, then a new Age will come of Earth, and the Serpent shall be made whole, and the Waters will be as One, when on high the heavens had not been named.
