Well....I did alot to the ring! I designed it, sculpted it from casting wax, poured the lead using the lost wax method and then consecrated it formally after I cleaned its rough edges up...all the while casting 'spells' and 'incantations' into it.
If you aren't making the object then you must really concentrate on the object with great intensity/obsession. Alot of power is involved in the creation act. Just make sure about what you want, the form which will convey the desire(d)(result), and all the important bits about linkages (if any) with spirit and or the proper influences, etc. I suppose that I could outline the exact procedure but that wouldn't be any fun for you(all) who wish to make a go of it, now would it? *grin* As much as I might preach about 'following the rules/recipe' , Magic is all about how you interact with your universe, it's different for everybody! That is why there are no real 'schools' for Sorcery. Get to know the backgroud/drop of your setting, then fill it (or not) with your props.
