Hearing/sensing Apparitions, How does one come about this? Options

I've heard of others being able to "sense" apparitions such as ghosts and even hear the chatter of the other side, yet not being able to see them. Though this came about to them through natural born capability, how does someone achieve the sensing and hearing of other spirits or entities?

Hearing spirit was not something that I actually went about achieving it has always been there. I have heard the saying Mediums are born not made but then conversely have been told of mediumship developing following a life changing event, but then one could argue that it was always there just hidden.

I sense spirit around me and have worked with my mediumship for many many years. Although when the faces and voices first started I was not really aware of what was happening. Its a bit like now, I am just developing psychic art and when I sit with paper and begin to focus I briefly see the outline of the face and features on the blank paper but I have to work quickly otherwise it disappears. Its like they want me to trace them I guess to help with developing the skill.

I have always 'seen' Spirit subjectively, e.g. in my head, but then again, in the last 2 years I have just started to see them objectively e.g. outside of my head.

If you are interested in learning or developing this ability I would suggest you meditate regularly. That is the best way to get in touch as it were. Its a load of old tosh to tell you to become a more spiritual person because I know many mediums and the last thing they are is spiritual. Try to rely on your gut instincts and encourage your psychic faculty. If you are meant to get in touch with Spirit you will.

Alternatively of course you could choose CM and evoke spirit, etc., but this is somewhat different to what I have described above.
