I'm not sure if the question falls in this category. I dreamt I was walking through a wooded area and then two large woody arms came down from a tree and trapped me to the ground. Several stakes or large thorns also came from the tree and stabbed me in the back and I was dying. Then the tree looked at someone passing by in the distance and then it realized it was killing the wrong person. The tree's name sounded like Nythal, it was a spirit or god of some kind. It said something like 'the innocent shouldn't be forgotten' and then in compensation it revived me with extra abilities.

This is an experiment I have been working with for some time now. The hypothesis is that the position of the moon (not just the phase) along the ecliptic can influence our subconscious minds. Any individual anywhere on earth has two major gravitational influences: 1. The Earth and 2: Moon (of course the sun’s gravitational pull influences both and all the planets add to this but in much more subtle amounts).

Now the zodiac is a collection of archetypes akin to a localized version of Jung’s collective unconscious. While the zodiac is not an astronomical reality in so far as it is a projection of the sun’s path onto a backdrop of fixed stars (as seen from earth), it is a very real aspect of the terrestrial human experience. For at least 3,000 years humans have used the zodiac to chart the heavens and cognize the world around them. This has resulted in our ancestors attributing meaning and symbolisms to its physical parts which have passed down through generations and become part of our cultural minds… Blah Blah Blah!

The question is: What if the relative position of the Moon along the ecliptic for an individual at some predefined location can result in a gravitational pull (i.e. a tide) within the individual’s mind that permits the localized archetypes of the ecliptic to influence the subconscious??? Sounds a bit loony, but thus far I have found some correlation…I have never gone as far as to localize it to 5 degrees because I have never had any reason to do so.

So how does this pertain to your case with NYThAL? Well, since I do not know your precise location or time when you experienced the dream, I can’t state anything for sure. I used Oklahoma City as a location smack in the center of the U.S. at 5am to do the calculations. The moon was never in Aries during your dream; however, an interesting fact is that the moon and sun were in opposition (i.e. nearly a full moon) thereby placing opposing gravitational stress on the earth. Whenever there are opposing forces one looks for a third point to balance the effect, this third point was indeed in Aries (near the last 5 degrees). What this all means I don’t know, so far one case of this precision is statistically insignificant… but it is indeed a curiosity that merits further investigation… Thank you for sharing your experience.

Cheers.
