I've just realised that i'm missing a tarot deck and needed to get one, but I will need a good deck, hearing about Dr. Johannes Faust's tarot deck I was aroused.

As far as i've heard, Dr. Faust's deck is exceptional, but something tells me that its alot similar to the Necronomicon, in that it has a long history behind it, the eldritch of all eldritch tarot decks...

Now who has heard of Dr. Faust's deck? who has used his deck? Anything so special about it?

My thoughts on this are that it probably is not the Tarot made by Dr. Faustus, although the infernal hierarchy matches that of the Black Raven- the German grimoire allegedly used by him to summon Mephistopheles. For one the art on the cards does not fit the style of 16th century art (i.e. the definition of muscles on the demons and the use of depth perspective on some of the scenes). Put them next to any piece of art of the early 16th C. and you will see what I mean. Or better yet check out the 16th century Tarot cards on the tarotpedia link I posted above.

The other thing that throws me off are the claims made by the site who sells this deck. Two things that caught my attention and just seem ridiculous are:

You will not find all these correlations in this booklet! To have all secrets revealed to you, you need to be a member of the O.A.I. (Ordo Algolis Infernalis).

It is an order that traces its existence back to the most ancient of all religions. Its membership includes the most powerful magicians of the universe. The O.A.I. is millions of years old! Therefore it existed long before the human race came to roam this planet, Earth.

Now I’ve been studying the occult for nearly a decade and have never heard of the O.A.I…. perhaps they are the organization of the most powerful magicians and my ignorance just confirms my magical impotence, but I highly doubt this. If you want my advice, I say don’t waste your money.

I gathered so, no im not going to waste my money on such advertisement, they seem too desperate for members to join them (people they know nothing about online), to be what they claim they are.

Anyone claiming such things are to be doubted and skeptical about.

However, I will still continue trying to find the best Tarot deck I can, also the older.
