I awoke early this morning and 'saw' a strange cubular shape of interlaced black and yellow squares like a mismash of picture frames hovering in the dark above my bed. This shape had a main body and a smaller one on the side, and the image seemed to be pulsing. I stared at it hard for about a minute, and it was very vivid, but eventually dissolved into the natural colors of the ceiling.

Before I had gone to sleep, I had been meditating on a Goetic symbol, but it looked nothing like this thing I 'saw'. And I had a typical nonsensical dream, not about the Occult at all, in between. Have any of you ever seen anything like this? Are there entities that look like constructions of geometric shapes? Or maybe it's some kind of visual hallucination?

Thanks for your thoughts,
Hagetaka Kuro

Greetings,

Spirit, hallucination, vision, in the end it is all the same as it entails communication with the subtle realities and entrance into the realm of Transconsciousness. To draw meaning from the experience you must rely on the language of symbols.

To my knowledge there is one Goetic spirit that takes on geometric forms. That is Paimon who is often accompanies by triangles or takes the shape of one himself...

If by cubular you mean cube-like. I suggest you move away from thinking it is a spirit or entity of any type and meditate on the geometry of what you saw.

The cube is a prevailing esoteric symbol in itself. It is amongst the platonic solids. It represents the folding of the cross; the binding of space-time; the dimension of consciousness. Freud called the cube “the underlying conditions of possibility for the formation and existence of human reality as it's experienced by the psyche". The symbolism of the cube is extensive and its importance in esoteric doctrine is paramount.

I suggest you start by looking over these books:

Sefir Yetzirah
Plato’s Timaeus
Euclid’s Elements
Johanes Kepler’s Mysterium Cosmographicum
