It depends. In my first obe i was so excited that it was a simple matter of laying in bed not moving (at all) after awakeing and than digging back into the dream. Usually if you never open your eyes and do not move after wakeing re-call is easy. To keep up the memory write down your regular and any dreams at first. After a while you will remember so much detail that you will want to cut it down to key points like heiroglyphics (common for me to see) symbols, names, and key words or instructions on how to return to a particular place. Also i tend to always right down the location or seen as close as i can. It really depends on the drem and how it feels as to how much you write. So memory for obe is like dreaming it can fade but it seems to stick in the miind better than a lucid dream. On some occasins you will wake and its perfect as if you remember just doing everything like you were awake. ok well alot of people never even remember awake at this point (robots). But its as if you were going about your daily life quite often. How you combine daily life and dream life is so important.
