Well LitzB, a servitor really isn't any different then a thought-form in essense . . only in degree. A servitor is a thought-form, with a greater potential (image,name,characteristics...). A thoughtform is any thought (depending on complexity) that can generate on "higher" planes. Thought-forms just tend to disapate quickly enough on those "other" planes that their rarely/barely effective . . or our physical one by default. They can have an affect, but they just rarely/barely do. The real difference is the amount of energy thats put into them, the more they have, the more they can do (and last). Certainly effective thought-forms can be made (its happening more then you know, like advertising or positive-thinking), and the way you did it is a fine initial/exploritory/experimental approach.
Do that same thing for a few hours - for a few days . . . throw in a name/symbol/style and you will eventually get a servitor it may take a couple creative approaches, but eventually one/something/it will coalesce and congele. (a bit of extra raised energy helps to beginning the condensation process)
all the other stuff (lifespans, intents, personalities) are just things that many others have found useful (or safe).
