i can undertand the reasoning behind his blood on the runes - the linkage to animals or the earth is different
on the other hand -
i keep finding references to red ochre all over the place these days - from "neadertal skulls covered in a red ochre crayon to better catch the dna-activating blue rays coming from cygnus" to "red ochre round the eyes leads to visions"
what exactly is red ochre? (sorry for the thread hijack, but i'd really like to know!)
is it like red clay? - heavens knows we've got plenty of that here in the southeast usa!
