Im sure nearly everybody heres experimented with lucid dreams at one point or another. What abilities have you all mastered when dreaming??

Heres what I can do:

Fly (That one came on accidentally, one time I realized myself flying in a semi lucid dream then I knew I could do it so I started practicing and now I can do it in any lucid dream I have any time I want. All I do is leap off the ground and im flying)

Smash windows (I find that way harder than flying but im started to be able to do it easily now)

Stop traffic (I can walk in front of moving cars and not get run down)

Thats all I can do so far. Im still practicing breaking windows and other objects. Once I moved through a wall but most of the time when I try I get stuck in the wall and the dream blacks out.

I hear people can materialize objects and scenery when they want. I cant even begin to practice doing that. Im still learning to dream without everything fading away. I have to keep on my toes and keep moving and shifting my attention otherwise everything disintegrates.

Another thing I cant do is have sex with women. Rarely do I ever spot a nice looking woman in a lucid dream but when I do I hardly even get around to taking my pants off and the dream fades away.

Greetings,

I don't know if I'd say I mastered much of anything, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uglyhammer.gif)
I started in dream and astral work at about ten or so. My older brother had been practicing it for quite alot of years when I got interested in it. So he was actively teaching me from the start. I suppose having a flesh and blood teacher around 24/7 just sped things up or something.
One of his most potent methods of teaching dreamwork was to sit behind me out of sight and do the 'hypnotist' method of describing a sequence and helping me into a trance state. Then instead of waking me up, he'd just leave me to fall asleep with the 'suggestion' of lucid dreaming.
i highly recommend this method. if you don't have someone who's able to sit in as the hypnotist then try using a good quality tape recorder, or use a mic and burn a cd on your computer.
Just come up with hypnotic sequence. This one works well,

Your in a dark room.
You see nothing.
Still nothing.
Now you see a white light.
A glowing white square in the distance.
It's quite small, you walk closer.
Getting closer. You see something in the light.
A black shape.
Get closer.
Closer
Closer
The shape is becoming clearer.
Closer
Closer
The shape is a word.
This word is powerful.
You will obey this word completely.
This word is god.
Get closer
Closer
You can almost read the word.
Closer.
Closer
There.
You can read the word.
It is
SLEEP.

Now, when you read this into the recorder or whatever your using, do so slowly. Really breathe the words. Keep your voice soft and kind of deep, like you always hear hypnotists doing.
On the same recording as the above sequence, then put the suggestion. This should begin playing after you've entered the trance state. Keep it something simple.
Like '' Lucid Dream. Know your dreaming''' Have this part go for maybe a minute or so, then just leave the rest silent.
Just repeat it over and over on the tape in a clear, strong whisper starting about 5 minutes after the first sequence ends. This gives you time to drift off and get tranced enough.
Anyway, I know this seems a bit silly, but i had good success with it. Hope it helps.
Peace.
