Research And Practice! (and More Practice), formal introduction, explanation and salutation Options

This is my first formal post so I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Blackrose. Im sure alot of you remember me from a number of other occult messageboards, which I have visited in the last year or more (Usually always as blackrose or blkrse).

My magical predisposition is that I use alot of Golden Dawn books and tools and at the moment Im practicing alone as solitary. I have been the highpriestess of at least 3 covens, back in the 90's. The format was always myself as highpreist(ess) and 6 men, making a total of seven in the club.

They had various names, which reflected the nature of the group. I cant account for the number of covens; I think it was just a natural formation, sort of like in chemistry when ions and protons move around because the molecule fits better that way.

At the time I was studying things that can be done in groups, so it worked out and I was predisposed to see myself as "Clergy" material in that I was able and willing to organise the group and lead conducted rituals, etc. It was during that time that I read alot of info about formation of covens and how to run them.

Since then, I realised that my studies have progressed to the point where it is no longer practical to do things in a group. I cant send out bulletins of the books Im reading and things like that.

Instead, I just wanted to follow my own ideas for awhile and see where that led. It has worked out fairly well except that everything they say about "raising the power" is certainly true. Trying to do that alone is similar to trying to play a baseball game with one person on the team--lol.

When I first started doing solitary conjuring, it was remarkably exhausting. However I believe at this point, with some practice, I have overcome all but perhaps a few finer points, to where Im able to do alot and do it all at once and on time, on a dime!! I have always used and still use a planetary table of hours.

There is a great deal more to this story but I dont want to bore everyone to tears. Since going solitary, I have systematically accomplished a number of my magical ambitions and goals and I m fairly satisfied with my work to date, although as usual, when you accomplish one thing you suddenly realise that this goal achieved implies 3 more, not yet acheived.

So Im satisfied with my progress but I feel that there is alot more left to be done. If I continue at the rate I have been going in the next 5 years at the rate I have gone in the last 5; I will probably be at a point where I can publish a number of works in progress and satisfied a number of life goals in the process.

My interest in this forum is not to debate subjects you can easily resolve in a coven. The coven atmosphere is actually preferable for alot of these esoteric personal questions like bad dreams, glimpses of demons, bad drug trips, broken relationships, etc etc because you can tell them to people who know you who can actually give you advice based on something having to do with your personal circumstances.

Its very unlikely you will get such realistic advice on a faceless nameless chat room messageboard. However, my approach is not personal. I have plenty of freinds and plenty of common sense and not that many weird experiances.

Mostly I would like to talk to other occult practitioners who can shed some light on my research questions and recommend sources for topics Im studying. Occasionally I do need unusual occult supplies or cant find a book Im looking for, or Im considering a doctrinal question and would like a logical debate in a forum of my peers who probably may at least be aquainted with the subject.

I hope that the experiances online through this forum will be fruitful and productive and will be in keeping with my studies to date.--Blkrse
