Results Never Quite What You Expect?, Bad luck? Options

I have heard a few stories about the Necronomicon causing bad luck. Does anybody have any stories like this? Mabey it is because the spirits in the book are not liked by other spirits, like the spirits of the goetia? I noticed that on Amazon they can be as cheap as $2...

I haven't read all the post but from skimming through I will give my experiences concerning the "bad luck". When first picking up the book when I was much younger it was an interesting experience just because of the fascination with the whole concept. When I first brought it I did have strings of bad luck from failing relations, mood changes, to getting kicked out of my home, whatever...

Yet looking back, and like others have said they were all in a way tests. Both from the Nec, and from your own mind, your own inner self to make sure your ready. Thanks to help, and to a strong calling I came back with new energy, and a helping hand( Thanks D (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) which helped me to better understand myself, and feel a new power inside. Initiating into a new system does require death of the old self to give birth to the new. A better you that will help with your magickal practices. I guess this is what is meant when the Nec chooses its own.

The only bad luck is what you yourself make of it. You approach anything with fear, and suspicion, and you WILL fail. You approach the work with respect, awe, and with determination to get through all the shit sent your way then you will become more then human, and in a way (like it happened with me) you will find a part of yourself. O and Shadowed_by_Shadows... Not sound rude but your experiences with the Griger Nec sound more like an inner fear, and weakness that caused these affects... Not the book itself.
