What on earth could you gain from invoking or evoking this entity? Protection from rape, if you were a woman, maybe...

in one part of the article it mentioned that the myth in one culture could be referring to the male who "although entering triumphantly, always leave diminished." Maybe evoking the concept as an entity could teach about transcendent sex? Orgasm without ejaculation, etc., etc. The more base aspects of Tantra Yoga. Who knows?
