Energy And The Like, How to keep it and how to get rid of it Options

I have been for some six months now trying to develop my abilities with energy. Mostly by way of exercises suggested here, balls of energy, pushing out as much as possible for as long as possible, and the like. I have made some impressive gains in regard to the amount of energy and length of time I can gather, hold, and move it about. There are, however, one or two things that I for the life of me cannot quite get.

First, I cannot hold energy with out a conscious effort to do so. I at first thought I was another system of concentration, or lack there of, but I can do several things a once while holding energy. So it would seem that there is another reason for this.

Second, once I have internalized the energy- wherever it came form- I cannot project it far from my body. The farthest I have ever gotten is three inches. A similar problem is the energy once a got it out will not stay there for long, before flowing back in to me; like pushing water up hill.

With the notable exception of, putting energy in to an object, it will always comeback to me. All I could find was something I read about energy always coming back to its owner; it was in I karmic context, so it might not apply here.

I was wondering if anyone has had the same- or even mildly similar- problems, and if so how was it resolved; but any help would do nicely.

Energy follows intent. Perhaps you are trying to 'mucle it' or trying too hard. Energy goes where you mentally move it. It is really a shifting of consciousness. For instance, if you put your hands up closer to your face and become more conscious of your hands, your energy shifts and moves more int your hand. Now become aware of your feet. Feel your feet. Become conscious of your feet and lower legs. Feel the weight of your body over top of your feet. Feel how your feet meet the earth. Now your energies have moved to your feet. But these are things that are part of your body. Pick up an object in your hands. Look at it and examine it. Rub it or feel its texture. Now some of your energy has moved into that object. You can do the same thing with other objects that you aren't physically touching. I can look at the clock on the wall and in the process of looking at it, I am sending energy into it.
You can send energy into other people as well and get their feedback about it. I sometimes send energy to people all the way across the world. To do this, it is by far easiest if you have some connection with them though. I find either talking to them on the phone or the internet works best. In addition, having a recent photo of the person is useful in establishing the connection. Webcams work too. Just get a picture in your mind of the person and the energy will flow into them. In some senses, the space betwen you doesn't exist.
Try different exercises. Experiment in order to get a sense of what you can do with your energy.
