Hello! I guess it's pretty obvious that I'm new to the forums, and I thought I'd introduce myself!
Well...I'm new! I've been reading the forums for only about a day, and, though I most likely should have read more, I find this place to be a very calm and informative community with a very friendly atmosphere.
Here's some quick info of my introduction into magick.
I first became interested (Though, I had no idea what I was doing, at the time.) in things beyond the mundane when I was six. I remember sitting in the corner of my class room, during what the teacher called "stretch time" and having my eyes closed. I was concentrating really hard but I had no idea what I was concentrating on! I saw some kind of dark tunnel that extended (seemingly) on eternally behind me and just ahead of me was a light. Now, by this age, I had never heard of "The light at the end of the tunnel" theory of dying, so, I quickly moved towards the tunnel. I'm not sure how to explain my exact means of locomotion but I felt as if everything was moving around me rather my own self moving through everything else.
Well, I was about to reach the light, and I could feel an intense feeling of "enlightenment" (This is the most accurate word in my vocabulary to describe the feeling, though not exactly the word I would personally choose if my word bank was larger.) in side of me and all around me when all of the sudden my friend taps me on the shoulder and I jumble out of my little visualization.
I felt really confused, and worried. I had so eagerly sought for the light without knowing what it was.
So I did some book-diving and became interested in OBEs.
Though, my interests have expanded since, then!

Say you had a portal that sent things back in time.
You also have string.
Now, you throw one end of the string in and your past self holding the original end catches it.
Where's the fourth end, then?
