What Does The Spirit Benifet From Helping The Magician? Options

In the goetia it says that most of the spirits answer truthfully. I think this is true because a spirit of that sort would benifet a great deal more from dealing with a magician truthfully. But with every evokation it seems that the trade off is the spirits influence. You invite this being into you own personal universe and for unknown reasons it likes to be there....?

The spirits answer truthfully because they don't have a choice. If they disobey or deceive you, they can be cursed. The forms of the curses are given in the text.

I admit that I sometimes got the exact opposite of what I wanted with thr Goetia. However that may have been due to my own screw ups and not a defunct manuscript.

At any rate the Goetia is fun.

I seemed to get better results when I gave offering to the demon.
