Your thoughts on Mr. Angel

I barely made it through watching just one of his shows.

I never could keep much interest in stage magicians, anyway, except for maybe Penn & Teller.

I think the guy is pretty cool. I watch his show all the time. Whether its trickery or not he is very good.

Is it out of the realm of possibility that this guy could be a mind reader?

Mind reading isn't that impressive anymore I'm afraid. Hell, my group and I have practically merged consciousness. Plus, mind reading can be faked by a good observer who knows how to watch the eyes and body language. And there are a million ways to rig a card trick.

Also, he's on a pre-recorded television show. I mean really, he could guess five or ten times before he gets it right, and you'd never know.

Chris angel can do a live performance, and i'll be more inclined to give him more credit.

He is pretty cool, I'll give him that.

He is definitly an illusionist.

Did anyone watch this guy levitate over that building last week? I am guessing it was a 30 story building. He levitated maybe 20 feet over the top of it. I think he was standing on some kind of automated pole that lifted him up. Regardless if anything had gone wrong with that trick he would be dead.

The guy has cajones.

There is a guy named Garrett Thomas from Buffalo that I see out every once and awhile. He was a consultant for david blane and does some of the most mind boggling tricks. He told me "a Real Magician is a “Renaissance Man” who studies Science, Math, Physics, and Psychology. They can be Artists or Jugglers, doing some tricks and puzzles, but also using Hypnosis, creating Illusions, Reading Minds, and Conjuring the impossible. They study all patterns of life, and can affect and change the world around us."

That is what seperates the good illusionists from the tricksters. Criss angel does the same thing he doesn't just study tricks he studys the human mind.
