Well before this turns into an online orgy let me redirect this thread back to the topic. - shared dreaming. Orgasming through sheer will is possible, but its not on topic so make a different thread for it please.
Shared dreaming is really just an off shoot of sharing consciousness. Dreams are just a way telepathic communication is posible. In theory humans share a collective conciousness. Its also called the telepathic matrix/nexus. I believe the Hindu equavilant is sahaja (sp?) yoga. In psychological terms this can be described as a form of "groupthink" or herd behavior. A more arcane term would be akashic records. Just some concepts to google or search wikipedia. There are many ideas about what this really is but what it amounts to is the concept that all humans (possibly even all life) are connected on some level through a "psychic", (perhaps primordial is more appropriate) link. This link allows us to tap into all memory that has ever existed in the history of humanity (and possibly beyond). Because of this link this collective is like its own realm where we, in theory, can share memories and dreams or visit eachother telepathically through altered states of mind - or sleep since thats the easiest altered state of mind to achieve.
The ways we can share dreams between one and other are numerous. I've read that if two people fall asleep at the same time, place and enter a lucid dream they can have "telepathic" conversations and experience the same dreams. I heard twins often share dreams through a genetic link. I've also heard of mothers dreaming about their children while in the womb. Of course one has to take into consideration the influence of space and time as distance and time zones could affect the success of such dreams. One thing I truely believe factors into the equation is the emotional connection between those who share dreams. I think it would be very hard to share a dream with a total stranger, at least harder than with somebody you know and prefferably care about.
The way I would go about attempting to share a dream with another, its the easiest way I can think of, is through the power of suggestion. In this a couple (prefferably a pair who knows eachother very well because in theory their psychic bond is stronger) would basically script out a dream. They would set a place and time where they would meet, they would know what they would be wearing (if anything) and have a general idea about what they would be doing - having tea by the sea shore or grinding in a hotel room, perhaps a casual conversation. I think this would work best if the pair, or group for that matter, work together and sleep in the same room. You might try in different positions. Like maybe everybody sleeps in a circle with their heads toward the center. The pair would then place a picture of the place they were to meet next to a picture of themself and the person(s) they were intending to meet and put these near their bed. They would then turn out the lights at the preset time and say something like "Tonight (insert name) and I will meet at (insert place). Then the pair would sleep and recall their dreams in the morning. This requires no lucidity. Those participating should have been centered, grounded and purified behand hand and once again when the ritual is complete. A simple LBRP might do the trick. The reason is to prevent any negative energy from following you into the mind of the other person and possibly harming them. The most difficult part is recalling the dream in the morning. Of course there are any number of variables that could interfere. Such as what if one of the couple gets up in the middle of the night and the other still dreams about them even though they weren't asleep. Does this say something about the collective consciousness or does this just mean this person tricked their mind into dreaming about others.
You could use pretty much any technique to send "messages" to people. You'd script out the message and send it follwing the same procedure. Of course in order for this work the recipiant cannot have any idea about what the message would be. It would be nice if told the target that you were sending them a message through your dreams. Otherwise they might not even realize it. Messages can also be sent via the use of servitors. I'd search the forum for info on servitors but basically all it is a mental creation that has substance on a subtle part of reality. Spirit guides can also be used in a similar manner.
A more complex technique is where one opens "gates" or doorways into another person's (or people's) mind. This requires that one is able to enter an altered state mind, such as a lucid dream where they can create a doorway that channels their consciousness into that of another. Or rather creates a temporary link between two or more minds where people can experience eachother's consciousness. To do this, again set up a place and time get various objects that symbolize your intent to meet with somebody else and make sure the other person knows what was going on and was collaborating to some extent. The kicker is in the sigilization of a sign for the gate into the mind of the other person. This would require that both acknowledge the symbol represents a door way into eachother's minds and that both have permission to use the sign to enter one and other's dreams at any given time. After the sigil is made create a spell to summon it and another to banish it. This should also be known by all involved. This does not require that both people be asleep at the same time. This is where a person has an experience of shared consciousness, not dreams. Its just one or both experience the other's mind while in a dream state. Before one enters a lucid dream and evokes the sigil for the gateway they should again center, ground and purify. Then evoke the sigil and visualize it above a door or gateway. See it opening up and you should see a white or black light of nothingness. Step through and you've created a link between both your mind and that of somebody else. Once you are finished go back through the door recite banishment for the sigil. WHile saying this spell see the door way closing. Then once more center, ground and purify youself. The reason you do this a second time is to prevent unwanted negative energies from following you back. If at any time you should wake prematurely you need to immediately speak the spell to banish the sigil, then center, ground and purify. You can say the banishment any time regardless because it sends away the power of the sigil. If it has not been evoked then there is nothing to send away and so no harm is done. Hopefully we can all see where the risks to this approach. However I do believe it is most effective.
You could use this technique without being in a state of lucidity. IN this case you'd be awake while evoking the sigil and just visualize a door opening. Then when you wake up banish the sigil and visualize the door closing. The reason I stress being lucid is because your in much more control and to me when messing with consciousness like this I think all the care in the world is in order - that means you should have as much self control as possible and that means doing this while lucid is the safest way to go.
