Greetings all!

I have been thinking.. and reading and such and came to wonder. Say I am dreaming and realize I am dreaming, or purposely lucid dream. Whilst lucid dreaming what if i wanted to go to the astral plane? And then of course since I am in control I would go there (i think). Would this be the same as astral projecting normally? Or would this just be a dream where your mind makes up what the astral plane might look like?

Does the mind already know what the astral plane is like?

If so, would dreaming about it and actually going there be the same??

Sorry, just letting my mind wander.

Thoughts anyone?

Peace

I just noticed this subject and wanted to put in my two cents worth. First off I have not had a willed OBE or AP ever all have been spontaneous. I have had lucid dreams and spontaneous AP experiences. Both have similar and different qualities to them, though there seems to be more differences. The major difference is that in AP I cannot manipulate my environment as easily. There was a much more concrete aspect to AP then Lucid dreaming. Also the beings I experienced in AP had more of a sense of individuality. In the lucid dreams I could make people do what ever I wanted them to do. This could not be done in AP. The last thing I noticed in AP was I could distinctly feel a connection to my physical body, a sense of being in two places at once, though the body connection was only slight and not distracting. This is not so in a lucid dream. I could not feel my physical body.
