I Kinda Dabble Options

I've been interested in hermetic stuff for several years now, but never really been a practitioner beyond some very basics. I've definitely never partaken in a ritual circle or anything of that nature. Somebody explained it to me once that setting up the altar, robe, sword, chalice, jewelry and so forth was a bit like a jumbo jet's taxi and take off. Their method was the Harrier jet, fire up the engines and take off vertically. I think there's something to be said about that. Still, I don't think I'm some expert, so I won't be traveling thread to thread ridiculing every procedure, it's just something I aim for in what I do as everything I do is solitary.

I'd love to have a deeper understanding of the kabbalah and Enochian. My main reason for joining, though, is so that I have a community that can help me make sense of what's in some of these books I've got. I've found that some authors are willing to start readers off with rituals that they don't fully explain, which to me is just wrong. I regret doing some of them, and trying to get an understanding of that might be where I start here!
