Colors alone I believe have a hard time representing anything at this point, we need a symbol or logo to go with it. Even Coca-Cola red can’t signify Coca-Cola, and that is the most recognizable brand in the world, arguably more recognized then any current religious symbol… got me thinking about a sigil (but I digress).
As far as white and black being colors…all colors, no colors.
Bottom line, for anything short of a very technical discussion, that I and 99.999 % of the worlds population can discuss, they are colors. We can pretend to argue about their being achromatic till we are Blue in the face (pun intended).
For US Americans, if it is in the basic Crayola 16 set when they where a kid, it’s a color.
In reality white in light refers all visible colors equally, black refers to no light. For an object to be “true black” no light or color can reflect off it. For an object to be true white, it must reflect all colors evenly.
In cloth, depending on texture, they choose dark red, dark green, or dark blue to produce the wanted color…in some cases a combination of said colors. jeans and canvas seem to have the best combo as they fade to grey, most others fade to some off primary color.
In the end color is dependant on the surface molecules shape. That determines color, there are shapes that allow light to pass relatively unobstructed, such as glass and water so it takes more then just the surface molecules to give color. But in general that is the case.
If I am at the bottom of a twisting cave with no light source…everything is black.
But to answer the question, if Satanists where counting on black to be their identifier, it is a sad sad day for them and or a sad day for the rest of us if people are hunting Satanists.
Overall, I would say a sad day for humanity in general if a color alone identifies you as anything.
