Since it is Halloween coming and this has been bugging me, I am going to give my takes and observations.
Also for added info Coast to Coast AM has done many shows on the phenomena, but I have not listened to them, and it is just more stories and ideas nothing conclusive…but they are probably the biggest archive of things that go bump in the night. Bad part is their past shows podcasts are subscription based, so it will cost you to listen, but the info there is at least 20+ hours probably 40+ or more and as such worth more then most books on the subject. Not to mention they have great shows on everything that goes bump. As well as other fun topics. Not a subscriber, but I used to listen to the show every night, and if I am up and driving I still do today. However there are plenty of shows I thought where silly or stupid even, usually it is spot on.
Anyway, shadow people…scientifically it is said to be the brain over reacting to visual stimuli filling in a probable pattern. All in all totally plausible, but I don’t buy it anymore.
My experiences are out of the norm, and I have yet to have a shared encounter (more then just me seeing the same thing).
What I have seen. All in common, made of shadow, or as if they where, nothing distinctive (no red eyes). Things that can be described. Body type Overall body shape Size Posture Movement Some observations, but nothing conclusive enough.
People usually 1 but as many as 10 plus.
Most often of late I do not usually see the whole body, I see an arm reaching for a door from just behind me (it is attached to a shoulder and torso, but by that time I turn around and it is gone.
I have seen cats, dogs, and insects with the same characteristics.
Never get a feeling other then observation from the encounter, and “Oh crap it saw me”. This is across the board with all encounter types.
Often 2/3rd of the time I see them moving, of that 2/3 rd of the time that I am not at home it is prophetic. I see one walking across the street from me at 4 am, within 5 minutes someone of the same build, posture, general speed and direction (but not always same type of cloths, or type of walk) will walk by.
This is more common with insects and cats, dogs about the same as humans. If I see a shadow cat, I will see it’s real life counterpart shortly, but not always doing exactly the same thing (cats are the most apt to stop and streatch before continuing on there way as if to spite me for watching them)
You can observe them for up to 30 seconds perhaps a minute if you do not turn your eyes to face them or adjust your head to not face them.
Types of cloths. Monk hooded Sweat suit hooded Duster and hat Duster no hat Priest robes no hooded Sweat suit no hooded All Shapes and sizes appropriate to the counterparts in out realm of existence.
Now the hard part is figuring out what you do see out of the corner of your eye. At this point facial details, hair line, neck width are all blurry for me for regular people anyway. So I can’t conclude that all are hooded since in many cases the hood seems very tight.
They seem to need to touch something before they can move through it, and they seem to need to move through movable objects. For example, they can move through cars, doors or windows that open and don’t have a screen, or they disappear immediately. I have not seen them go through trees or walls, but I have seen the cats jump, just not onto anything they disappeared after that.
When it was humans only I went from alternate dimension, that almost aligns with ours, to time travelers with some stealth/pass through solid matter capabilities.
When Cats and bugs got into the mix, their prophetic nature, took those out, then I started seeing the same things occasionally with the humans\oids.
Thoughts currently are spirits of the sleeping, or those not focused on their current place but projecting into the future, and only the edge of our vision sees it, because the brain is picking up the pattern of something that thinks it is there. However when it is confirmed by our main vision to not be there, or we change focus it is gone. Since most people dream at night, I see them most often there, especially at work places like offices. Sad that people dream about work but it happens to all of us.
That is all I have.
