please note i am not talking about dreams, but consiously entering this realm.

Describing the astral plane.
How do you perceive the astral plane?
For the nature of this discussion, I am seeking the place they go to most often or the least subtle of these planes, as in the end depending on tradition they refold on themselves from a different perspective the deeper you go.

When I AP I typically start at a place of power which happens to be a wilderness setting. If I feel the need for guidance I meet with a guide and I then travel through doorways, caves or gates on into the astral realm. however the times I've experienced AP unintentionally I've see settings of all different types. Nothing is ever really set in stone. Its sort of like an acid trip only laws of physics actually do not apply.
