Many people will disagree with me but generally you shouldn't lump all the Gabriel's together like that. A lot of sources take Gabriel to be Gabriel regardless of the context but I have always viewed and seen them as all different with different roles. I mean, how many guys do you know named John? Are they all the same person or just have the same name?
There is the Archangel Gabriel of Yesod, or Gabriel Yesodel if you prefer. He rules over the Kerubim.
There is also the Gabriel who rules the planet Luna, although there is some confusion if he is really a angel or an archangel. Gabriel Levanael.
Then there is also the popular Gabriel of the LBRP, the great Archangel Gabriel Maim, rules over water and the forces of water and the west.
While they are all separate a name describes a force of being, in this case "Strength of God". So all the gabriels have a intrinsic link regardless of their roles. Water, Yesod, and the Moon all have similar roles and relationships but they differ in context and in the nitty gritty.
Just my little rant...
Hallo; I thought at least with the Arcangels "all these" were different facets or aspects of the same being. I reason that; if the particular being is omnipotent, which the Arcangels are, wouldn't it have to have another part/reflection or extension of itself? To be in multiple places at once?? I think I understand that what your saying might be related to the school of thought that each Sphira has it's OWN complete tree of life, which in that case would'nt it be like each one is a reflection of the other's, just as the different Sphira are all reflections of the original DIVINE RAY from Kether-1?
" I once saw a large conglomeration of smaller spirits(demons I belive) that: "again like a swarm of insects" when they became airborn, formed into a larger complete spirit apearing and functioning as one being- a
very large dragon with of cloud like body; It came to "feed" at a large "black" group Ritual Sacrifice on the summersolstace in the hills above Los Angeles,CA.
What iI've been doing is trying to "mach various entitys to different desciptionsof from various sources and try and "line them up" so to speak. I understand that they can take many forms and appear completely different to different people. The reason that description of "Luna Gabriel" struck me was because it was one of the few desciptions of Gabriel I've read that actually Matched what I saw that night.
I now even wonder that since each Angel (elect) is an aspect or "piece" of God himself maybe there's something to this theory that the whole is the sum of it's parts at least to some extent???? I still believe the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts at least at this point ha ha
just a friendly debate; a ruby for your thoughts?? ; ~)
