Cemetaries, What have you noticed/experienced? Options

A friend and I like to hang out at cemetaries to feel the various energies and what not.

Well, we ran across this really old one, actually it was 2 cemetaries seperated only by about a 10 foot wide strip of grass.

One of them was a Catholic Cemetary, and the other was a Methodist Cemetary. Each one had a seperate gate, though you could walk from one to another inside the cemetary.

Anyhow, we entered on the Catholic side, I didnt notice anything odd. Then, I shifted consciousness a bit and blamo. The posts that mark the entrance gate had guardians. I was flabbergasted. I couldn't actually see them, but I could see the energies radiating from the cement blocks upon which they sat. I'd never seen anything like that at a cemetary before. We decided to see just what they were about so we walked across the barrier from cemetary to street. Once in the center I stopped. I wanted them to know that I knew they were there, I wanted to acknowledge their presence.

For someone that didn't have my shielding abilities, I might have been a bit worried as the affects from doing so could have been very traumatic for some. It was as if they were trying to attack the shield I have up at all times. There was a distinct pressure not only on my head, but also on my chest as if being crushed.

It's a good thing I shield naturally and always have , because if this would have continued without me knowing what was going on, the consequences could have been dire the way things were going. I seldom have to strengthen my shield, well this was one time in which I had to do so. As soon as I did the pressure let up but did not halt.

We decided to try the other gate on the Methodist side of the cemetary. Nothing. It was totally dead. We walked back to the Catholic side and they little buggers tried again...

We decided to leave, after getting into a discussion about the many cemetaries that we'd been to and seen and felt nothing of the sort before. So we headed off to the car and a sense of being followed as well as the feeling of pressure continued. It lasted for 5 minutes while we were driving away and we commented on it to eachother. Then it was simply gone. No lessening, just gone.

Needless to say it was the oddest cemetary experience that I've had in the numerous years that I've been hanging out at cemetaries. I usually go to relax and think, as well as observe. Usually, there are much different energies associated with some of the specific residents at some cemetaries. Ive never noticed guardians before. This was an entirely new experience for me and my cemetary dwelling habits.

One thing I should say is that we didn't bother trying to actually communicate with them. We just let them do their thing, as we did ours.

Have any of you noticed things like this before? Are they there from the consecration of the cemetary as guardians? Or did they just choose to be there and guard it? I suppose it could have been a combination of both. What are some of your cemetary experiences?

We've not met, yet the cemetary is perhaps very apropos!
I was thinking (this doesn't happen too often, LOL) and maybe someone of importance in the clergy was interred there or maybe the local priest is a decent magician!?? It's been my experience to not encounter guardians at all save for the little ones left lurking near specific burials leftover from zealous relatives... All the major guardian types show up at the church during services. The strongest guardians have also been not ones brought by the 'devout' but by other mages! Oh, well....it's getting so's a guy can't get no peace with a walk at night anymore~ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I know what you mean about it not happening often. Ive been hanging out at cemetaries my entire life. I just love them. And until this happened nothing of the sort had ever occurrd before.

This cemetary had to be at least 100 years old, so I was just thinking that back then the priest might have actually believed in what they were doing when performing the consecration and because of it, the energy left behind, could have attracted the guardians. I dont know really and whatever I guess is just that a guess.

I am planning on returning to investigate further and try to communicate with them if they are still there. Im actually thinking they might have just been resting there, and my noticing them (something that probably dont occur often upset one or both of them.

Excuse the typos in the last post and this one, for some reason (Im guessing its my fat sausage fingers) Ive just been finding typo after typo the past couple of days. It could also be that my fibro is trying to flare up again and I cant really feel my fingers...
