Pseudo-Buddhist-paranormal psychologically speaking, I'd guess it's an
Asura type entity. Its impatience with slightly different repeat questions strike me as someone who treats knowledge like a weapon. Even if it's fictitious, calling various power-mongers throughout history as those who
"...merely play the violin or cello when they are told to, the way they are told to." is something that would step on a few megalomaniac toes. I suspect they entered into that communication because it perceived a tactical benefit from it, rather than just good nature, and that ever response was carefully tailored to serve some other function in addition to answering questions. The thought-crime / abomination thing, for example, probably has something to do with the possibility its being attributed as typing something that was taboo for someone they might deal with, instead of something that merely thinking of would result in horrible things.
Still, I liked their thoughts on "The Divine One". Reminds me of
I Am That (PDF).
And, there was one part that struck me as particularly interesting:
QUOTE
Q: the "higher beings who govern this realm", do you serve them? By what names do you call them?
(ave you ever seen them? Where do they reside?
A: they penetrate everything and they are benevolent.
