Knowing things by touching objects/people. I don't mind car trips, hate wind burn, telepathy would be cool, but kind of suck at the same time; I already don't like what I get from most people's thoughts, and that's not much. Telekinesis sounds good in theory, and would be fun, but doesn't really enrich one's life in any way besides that fun factor (worth a lot, granted). However, being a reall sensitive, accurate touch-know has potential for all sorts of things, besides just your own education. Imagine holding a dinosaur bone, or a relic from the mayan civilization. You'd make bank as an archaeologist, curator of a museum, or a psychic advisor. Wonder who penned that supposedly genuine grimoire? Wonder if that watch was stolen? Wonder what happened to the person who owned that bloody scrap of sweater found in the ditch near the river? Who pulled the trigger of the murder weapon?
Having nifty magick tricks is all good and well, makes life easier and all, but knowledge is invaluable, and that's something you can do good with while still making a living and enriching your own existence all at once.
