To know the history by touch and I concede that the application of the thing is both use full and fun, but I enjoy knowledge above all else. For me, to know the history of any item touched would provide the insight in to subtle interactions often missed when one doesn’t know the whole story. When I first answered the poll I was reminded of Baron Samdi, who draws his wisdom from all that pass the crossroads. Then I was reminded of Frasier who said, “it maybe a fool who doesn’t learn from his own mistakes but it is a dammed fool doesn’t learn from others’!”
Touching post, by the way, Priest.
--------------------
Cosmic consciousness is devoid of diversity; yet the universe of diversity exists in notion.... We contemplate that reality in which everything exists, to which everything belongs, from which everything has emerged, which is the cause of everything and which is everything.... The light of [this] self-knowledge alone illumines all experiences. It shines by its own light. This inner light appears to be outside and to illumine external objects.
