How do magicians deal with the fact that things as dangerous as Pazuzu (or as far above their own level of ability) are out there?
If you will forgive a rhetorical question; how do you deal with the fact that tornadoes and earthquakes are out there? Or to put it more personally how do you deal with the knowledge there are others who are smarter, or stronger than you? Pazuzu is as natural a part of the word as an earthquake and will exist –in one form or another - irrespective of us. Just as some are stronger than others, so are there forces which are stronger than yours. Asking how one can deal with strong forces is to ask how can one live. All forces, whether they be demon or angle or god or tornado, are both more than the magician and more narrowly defined- seldom will you see something that has no domain and influences universally. Domain is how one deals; a burly man will not hunt you down lest you give him cause, neither will Pazuzu. Even though a force will exist irrespective of us does not mean it cannot be avoided- like a tornado- or used –like a stronger man.
Given time and experience the more powerful and even the really nasty things out there can be used to ones own advantage, and one need not worry about them even as far as one would a tornado.
