Use Of Nec For Protection Options

Just a newb question. I've a friend (group of friends, actually) coming under prolonged attack from an individual magician. She has boasted of using all paradigms, including the Necronomicon. My friend is considering using the Nec seals of certain spirits for household protection.

My question is: I think there are some preperatory rites or actions that need be taken prior to doing this. Is that correct. And do they make good protection for a household or an individual? Any advice or help would be appreciated, since I do not want to see her run into problems.

The "witch" in question is a practitioner with over 40 years of experience. She is a self-avowed Satanist, works with Goetia, and is the type who practices strictly negative magick and harms people merely for sport. Yet she boasts of having a firm grip on Catholicism as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

My small circle consists of several fledling witches and one with more experience, but in the Celtic tradition and Druidry.

I, myself, have practiced various ceremonial traditions, and some Enochian, but am really more of a mystic in these later years and have had no opportunity or inclination towards anything "black". I find myself caught up in this (and I am ever the skeptic) because of my love for my best friend, who seems to be the primary target.

I've considered Camael, Michael, and others as a way to combat the negativity that she has managed to throw our way, but am hesitant to get overly involved. My friend was perusing the Necronomicon Spellbook and found several entities and seals that are recommended for protection.

Being somewhat eclectic, perhaps we could begin working with Inanna and Marduk first, and then venture further into the other spirits?

What a quandary! We just want the malicious and unwarranted attacks to stop.
