Concerted Efforts, Save the Amazon Options

Greetings!

Please forgive this semi-altruistic flash in the pan idea...? Alright all you magicians...a challenge! Due to political and monetary greed the go-ahead to completely deforest the Amazon rainforest is in full swing. This must stop! Countless species are being destroyed and decimated in an allout rape of this beautiful 'entity'. Cannot we do some small part in fighting this travesty? I'm urging all you who traffic with elementals and devas to work toward forming a resistance to this horrifying slaughter! Chaos mages, create servitors of protection or conjure the living forces of the planet to rise up and stop this senseless operation of greed! Mages, witches, druids commune with the planet and those entities you know to work towards stopping this horror by dream, inspired thought, elemental rebuff....whatever! This Granddame of Forests is near Death. Is this not a just cause? I'm very emotional right now so I am not thinking too clearly. Does anyone have any cogent thoughts or ideas? Please share! In the Name of the Forest and the Land and the Air we breathe, we need your help and/or ideas to help save this collective from mechanized DEATH!

I have an idea on how to help with this possibly...but I'll admit, it isn't exactly pacifist in nature.

Bardon's Evocation mentions a couple of fairly high level fire spirits. I of course do not yet have a relationship with such beings myself, unfortunately...but if I did, they'd be who I'd take my case to on this. I'd basically tell them about what is going on, and essentially ask for a fairly large firestorm to be directed at the loggers; to burn the logging equipment...and maybe not the actual people doing the logging themselves, in terms of killing them...but I certainly wouldn't object to them being singed a bit.

The idea would be to send a message...the message essentially being that people who value the forest are not entirely defenseless...and for them to continue to destroy it may not end up being as profitable a venture as they had first thought.

This is purely about money, I suspect...they'd be looking at clearing the land in order to sell it or develop it and generate wealth from doing that. All we thus need to do is create disturbance of a sufficient scale that the cost of them clearing the area becomes greater than the projected monetary gains that they would collect from doing so. Simple in theory, but perhaps not in practice.

That though would be my approach...although I'm a little too squeamish (not to mention way too inexperienced) to try this myself, the other group I'd very much petition would be the local insect spirits. Swarms of ants and/or mantids infesting their equipment and housing might make the loggers think twice about hanging around...and I'm guessing there are a number of very large spiders living in the Amazon as well. As Acid09 once told me, spiders are actually very practically minded creatures, and very survival oriented...if they got wind of the idea that their entire local habitat was going to be destroyed, I have a feeling life could become very difficult indeed for the people attempting to cut it down.

I also just had another idea, of asking the solars/angelics for help with it...but I discounted that. Reason being is because (and this is a guess) I get the feeling that if someone talked to Archangel Michael about what was going on here, and asked if the angels would help, he'd actually say no, and that that was because although what's being done is bad, it's being done as a result of human free will...people are making a choice, and if the angels get involved in that, or counter it, they'd be interfering with free will...which they as one particular group have a problem with doing.

I'm not saying, by mentioning that bym, that I'm opposed to what you're doing here...quite the opposite...I was going through mentally and looking at what (very few) entities I knew of that we might be able to ask for help. In terms of pre-existents though, we're going to have to rely on entities which don't care about violating other people's will...and that automatically rules out most of the more powerful beings that I know about.

One last thing...do you know about the Ellis net/linking sigil? It's an energetic network of sorts that some Chaotes have been putting together, which was specifically designed I believe to facilitate activism against just this sort of thing.
