If you wish to find a horse that will drink because you want it then I'd say that goes against the general "ethics" of using magick. That being, in principle, not because its right but because of the side effects when the the spell comes full circle. To bind one to friendship is to bind yourself. I'm sure you really do want to find a real friend and not force it on someone. And advertizing on the astral plains could work. That, however, could also be a becon for other entities to take advantage of you as novice. So unless you have some experince on the astral I'd avoid drawing that kind of attention to you. Then again an astral "teacher" could become a friend. And most entities that are willing to teach aren't trying to take advantage of you. Otherwise they wouldn't waste their time. Still a strong bs sensor is a good quality to have. And never substitute good ole socializing with magick. Even the internet can serve as an outlet, but just to a point.
