Odd Bathroom Options

Me and my mother were living in this old house. The bathroom had a fireplace, hardwood floors, and TWO toilets! (One being perpendicular to the other.)


Is there any significance to this? I've never known any house that had a single bathroom with two toilets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused012.gif)
