If You Cant Skry? Options

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I have been doing the lbrp for 7 months now, i feel ready for evocation but i would also like your opinion if thats generally long enough.
But the real question is that how should i evoke a spirit when i cant skry?
(i am quite skilled at directiong energy in ritual work if that helps)

scrying is a little bit like fishing, some days you get loads and some days you can sit there all day and get nowt, start off simple, a bowl of water with black ink added a semi dark room, and just look into the bowl, dont force anything, in the begining do no more than 10 mins a day, so you dont strain yourself, and you will begin to see things, be patient and it will come. I've never understood one particular point about scrying.

When people talk about seeing things, do they mean physically, or in terms of visualisation? I've tried it to a limited degree before, and never saw anything...but I'm not really sure what I was looking for. ;-)
