Well... Call me a rotten apple for doing this, but here goes:
Consider this, you are a woman in ancient greece, trying to tell your lady friends about the guy you had fun with the last festival of Dionysis, Aphrodite, Pan, etc. You say he was top half man, and bottom half horse. Now, to the listener with a wild imagination, a mystical centaur comes to mind. But, to the listener of a somewhat more bathroom-oriented cognition, another half-horse humanoid idea comes to mind.
If someone invokes a centaur spirit, I believe that the most they will get out of it is either attracting a man with a rather large PENIS, or in the case of a man, to grow a rather large PENIS.
On second thought, maybe calling me an armchair magician will suit me just fine for this one.
