The conflicker worm and its variants have been around for the last five months or so. If you're using Windows and have kept up to date on your Windoze Updates and your antispyware and antivirus programs you should be fine. Thing is a lot of people ignore the updates and then they get infected. Then they get pissy because they have to shell out money to the IT folks to recover all their lost data and bring their machine back up to speed--when if they had practised safe hex to begin with they wouldn't have this problem.
Moral of the story: mandatory system updates are your friends, as are good antivirus and antispyware packages. Keep them updated and use them once every couple of weeks, don't download unknown stuff, and you should be fine.
