I started listening to Holosync (a binaural beat program) a while ago, and it puts me in a really deep trance. You go into alpha and then theta, and the recording lasts one hour. Usually I just listen and then zone out, but I feel that I could be using that hour of altered consciousness better. A few times I have focused on my internal energies, checked for energy blocks and cleared my chakras, etc, but I'd like to try other things as well. I'm just not sure what! It would be great to try out some spellwork while listening to Holosync, but most of the work I've done involves circles, candles, invocations and all that jazz. I'm not sure how to try and replicate that when I'm sitting still, eyes closed with headphones on my head. Purely mental magick? I'm sure it can be done by those with skill, but it seems a bit difficult to me, not sure how I'd go about it.

I'm just desperate for ideas and inspiration, really, on what I can do during this deep trance. I've done a million searches on the internet, but can't find many resources connecting binaural beats with magick. Does anybody here use binaural beats in conjunction with their occult practice?

Yes i tried it yet,i have never been intrested in any automated stuff, the purpose of spiritualism is to acheive it using the spirit alone, what's the point of using a program when you can do it using your self alone.
I think we have to cut our dependancy on a machines more, yet if someone has no clue where to start and acheived nothing using the natural breathing excercises and yoga,it would be a good second option.

Let's not forget that any magical tool is just rudimentary "technology" used to facilitate the magical process. Words, signs, everything except the thought alone. Sure electricity can power your home, but only when properly wired. Most magical practitioners do not pursue magic with mind or spirit alone, yourself included if you actually utilize the information you have thus far posted to the forums regarding ritual and spell work.

The use of other kinds of technology to achieve various brain changes is essentially similar in my opinion, perhaps made even more efficacious by treating them like magical tools. Eventually it becomes easier and easier for your brain to go into those states, and you find that over time you are able to shift into them naturally. This is a matter of getting your brain used to the state, and nothing more - any normal person should have this experience in other words.

Using that state magically is different than just achieving it, of course. A brain state is just that - a brain state. Inasmuch as everything is inherently spiritual, it in itself has no intrinsic spiritual value. Spiritual experience is not the same thing as brain experiences, and these programs will not give you spiritual experiences - but neither will meditating into these states. It is what happens after that point, if we are seeking it, that we encounter the spiritual through practice.

peace
