Astral Evocation Options

hello everyone

i want to discuss astral evocation some people say that but when searching the forum there is no information.

what is astral evocation (evoking to the astral plane) some say that is the best way to begin but what is astral evocation how does one learn and do astral evocation.

evocation in itself is very confusing i have read alot about it also on the forums but most dont make sense some things i do get daily lbrp and mpr improves visualisation strenght of circle and effect of banishing but then there are tools are a choice but half say you need them and all and half dont well i dont have money credit card and barely have sight. one can follow a book but a book has no exp.

but now i see some post about astral evocation does that mean doing the evocation on the astral and everything you need for evocation is done in the astral.

so some more info would help.

You can do it as a normal evocations using tools/etc except do them in the astral temple. Or a simpler way is to just pass through the sigil into the spirits domain. Although that can be more dangerous if dealing with something nasty. But if you know what you are doing, then it is perfectly acceptable.

It isn't really calling them into your mind. The astral plane is an actual plane of existence that you would travel to via your mind, through trance, meditation etc.

It is a distinct space.

However, depending on the spirit and your experience with traversing the astral plane and communicating with it's inhabitants, it could indeed be dangerous, just as any dealings with spirits could be dangerous if you do not take the proper precautions and protect yourself and banish afterwards.

Evocation on the astral plane is the same as evocation on the physical plane, it is just calling them or meeting them at a different place(plane). In the physical plane you would use your physical wand, in the astral plane you would use an astral wand consecrated through visualisation and meditation on the astral plane, in your astral temple.

I hope you can see how it isn't the same as invocation where you might call a spirit to inhabit your body or mind. It is just a different place to meet them.

The Astral Plane is mental, granted there are diffrent spaces, worlds and so on but they are within rather than without so e-voking on a mental plane isn't e-voking, its in-voking as its not a seperate space made consitute in the physical world... which is what e-voking is... setting up laws out-side of ones self for something from one world to exist in another.

Am sure its been done or something to that degree but from what I've read the two don't mix, think Kraig mentions it.... that and if you're apt enough to create an astral temple of your own you're well equipped enough to travel to that entities world directly.

The Astral Plane is mental,

The universe is mental.

Regardless the designation "astral" is a poor word for a myriad type of activities. You have active imagination such as pathworking. Mental projection which can lead to astral projection. Then etheric projection, more commonly known as Out of Body Experience. All are different but all have more in common than they have less in common.

Using any of these techniques in spirit work would be evocation because you would still be dealing with the spirit outside of your sphere. Invocation also covers a wide spectrum of techniques. From drawing in a certain signature or vibration, where you retain your full consciousness, all the way up to full possession.

Traveling to the spirit is the more dangerous method of evocation because you don't have a lot of the usual safe guards. You lose home field advantage.
