Is there a such thing as power levels when it comes to psi? If there is how would they be measured?

my soul definitely does not exist in my bowels, why would that be the case?

The umbilical cord, necromancy (true version of the word), the manipura. I really don't know where the soul is on humans, I'd like to think that the body is a artistic representation of the soul. But it does exist on cats in the bowels because that's where they have the most room!
