Hello: A Re-introduction Options

Greetings all,

I doubt many of you remember me, but years ago I posted in these forums under the name Faustopheles. I withdrew from this board and all other forums as it became apparent that theorizing and discussing esoterica was turning into a circular pursuit with no vertical ascension. It was time for me to set my books aside and delve into practice. Around this time my life took a drastic turn. I was at a crossroad in my professional career and my personal life was tragically impacted by the loss of someone very dear to me. It was apparent that I had to get away and re-center myself. I decided to leave the States and went to South America, where I spent months exploring the sacred ruins of Peru and Bolivia while meditating under the clear skies of the Andes. During this time, I had the honor and privilege of befriending a local shaman and was partially initiated into the magical tradition of the Aymara.

Needless to say, it was a rebirth and I came back to the US a wiser and I believe, “better” man. I continue to practice my own form of magic, which combines various traditions and techniques all under the understanding that they are parallel paths to the same universal source.

Despite my time in the Andes, my magical background is still primarily routed in Hermeticism, Kabbalah, and the Western Mystery traditions. These textual traditions provided a very firm foundation from which I was able to comprehend the complexities of Aymara and pre-Inkaic beliefs and continue to be the standard I carry before me.

My apologies for the length of this re-introduction and for being remiss this long. For those of you I have met and befriended along the way here, I look forward to re-uniting. For those of you that I do not know, I look forward to our crossing paths.
