Starting Ouija Options

Ok so i got the stuff needed to make me a board (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif). So to start this will be my real first dip into magick i going to start small before handling such things as the goetia. So how would i go about using the board and do i need to draw a symbol of protection if so what would be best (Picture would be appreciated). How do i summon a spirit to commune with me what should i do if it starts to commune how do i go about asking it questions (What have more experienced people in this field asked what kind of questions) ?After i commune with it is there any particular ritual to let the spirit go but yet showing thanks to it for communicating?

I have never had any negative or frightening experiences with the ouija board, despite (or because of?) using it like a toy. I wouldn't worry too much.
