Energetic Link That Use The Eyes, Binding with the eyes Options

Greetings all,

It has been a rather long time since I posted here. Nice to be back, though. I have spent the last few years working with Taoist internal alchemy. Fun stuff, but I had an idea that I think requires something other than internal alchemy.

I have a lady friend that I am quite close to, it seems reciprocal, that I am away from and mostly out of touch with for about six months of the year. I had the idea while we where talking about how it sucks to be apart for so long and how much better we both felt when we were together. My idea was to create a spiritual/ energetic link between the two of us, for the purpose of "feeling" together in a physical way.

Frankly, this is out of my skill level. I have done all most no work with external energy for about a year and a half now. I am positive I can establish a resonance with her, but that only helps me. Correct me if I am wrong but I think i need to alter part of her to establish a bond that works both ways.

I ran across a reference in some of my old notes about connections being formed when people gaze into each others eyes. Would this help with my endeavor?

I've grown up around taoist influences as a kid, and the one thing I can tell you is that the system forgets that everything is connected together, in some sick, Gestaltian way (I am by no means a scholar, so correct me if i'm using the idea wrong). Given that you've studied taosim (mystic or philosophical, actually? there are two distinct religious branches, from what I remember), you should have a strong, strong strong sense of grounding, so what you can do is extend your consciousness outwards, until you can hit hers.

Another way is to simply recall 'her' and her essence, then just chase after that energy signature until you can reach her.

The system does not so much forget that things are linked as much as it strives for harmony with them as a chain of interlinked relations. The only time I have known of Taoist magick systems to work with external energies is when dealing with sprites. The rest of the time they tend to follow the axiom that the individual is a hologram of the universe- change yourself and the world changes with you. I used an odd mix of Dragon Gate sect and martial Taoism, so philosophical with mystic implications.

I like the Second option. As I said, I am too out of practice with external energy. Slightly bothersome, I have to do something about that.

I seek out the part of her that accessible within myself and perhaps cultivate the part of me accessible within her. I am not sure it would last very long with out her helping to maintain the link, but it a good place to start. She is not a magick user, and not even especially sensitive. That is why I was thinking about some kind of banding, so she would not have to work at maintaining the connection, and I would not have to shore it up every few weeks.

I suppose a strong enough spell could aid the link in some way. I’ll have to think on that one.

Edit: I looked up Gestalt and you chose the right word. It is surprising what how science tends to hit on other wise esoteric understandings.
