No, in other words it is making up for where trained professionals are too slack or can't evidentially prove a creature still exists. The study isn't only focused around mythical creatures thesedays. If you researched a bit, you would find species thought to have been extinct from hundreds of years ago, have actually been scientifically proven to exist still today. Some "professionals" merely neglected their presence for a few years, in some cases.
